Beautiful wedding memory book

Monday, May 11th, 2009

There are so many events in your life that you want to hold on to, that you can look back on later in life with fond memories. If only the bridal or baby showers that family and friends gave you , or your wedding day could go on forever. I have photo memory books that I really keep to help my relive those special days over and over again. I have one wedding memory book devoted to the bridal shower my sister put on for me with some of my girlfriends. We took a lot of pictures that serve as wonderful reminders of what a fabulous night that was. I have shots of all the crazy stuff we got into that night, along with some of how gorgeous-looking the décor of the party was. The pictures we have really show just how outrageous that night became . We went to a spot where there were male dancers and snapped a few photos there. They didn’t have any trouble holding our attention. That was my only foray into the world of exotic dancers, and it was memorable. They may not be as famous as the Chippendale dancers, but these were more than entertaining, that’s for sure.
I got a wedding memory book along with everything else I was buying when I was preparing for our wedding. There were an awful lot of photos to fill the pages. As a matter of fact, we had so many that I bought a pair of them, and it turns out that we needed both of them. Once the books were full, I still had pictures left over. There were also pages for our guests signatures in one of the albums. Our last initial was on the front of our beautiful personalized memory books, with my first initial to the left of it and my husband’s to the right of it. The fabric on the book is very pretty, and with that and the satin ribbon on them, they really are quite charming. There are also refill pages available if needed, and we certainly need them.
I have picture books for every major moment that I’ve lived through. I’m sure as the years progress I’ll have even more keepsake memory books filling up my closet shelves. At the moment, I have books from my baby shower, wedding, and bachelorette party. My boy is one year old and my daughter’s about to turn three. My son has a blue book and my daughter has a pink one; we got the right colors because we found out what they’d be before they were born. Their first step and christening and so forth are in the books. The baby memory books have pictures, handprints, and birth certificates stored there, too. I slipped an official invitation from the showers and wedding in each album as well. I could open up a photo gallery with all of the pictures I have stored away.
I intend to keep the memories of those wonderful days alive for the rest of my life, and I plan on keeping my memory books in the closet, no matter how much my husband keeps complaining. With the new video camera I just bought, it’s going to be a little different, because now I have to clear room on some shelves in the den for the videos I’ll be making. So now, with the albums we have and the ones we will probably have in the future and all the videos I plan to record, I’m probably going to need a lot more room than originally planned. Hey, a girls got to have her memories to look back on. These years ahead are really important to a mom and I don’t want to miss out on one minute of it.
